STRATEGY
City Uprising encompasses five main components, which include:

Building Church Partnerships between Sending Churches (established churches looking for missional opportunities in major cities) and Urban Church Plants
City Uprising works to link Sending Churches to a City and its church planters. We believe that successful partnerships between Sending Churches and Urban Church Plants are essential in propelling the City Church to prosper the City. As a result, City Uprising works to
- partner Urban Church Plants with Sending Churches
- recruit families and individuals willing to move to major cities and live on display for Christ in their communities
- support the sustaining of the local Urban Church Plant
- develop local partnerships in the City for the purpose of community restoration

Training the Church Plant and the Sending Church
City Uprising wants every Urban Church Plant to build relational trust in the community, so that the Urban Church can continue to make disciples in the City. We desire to see the Sending Churches become attuned to the needs of the Urban Church Plant's community prepared to represent the local church.
City Uprising seeks to develop long-term, sustainable partnerships that works to meet the needs of the Ubran Church Plant's focus area, ultimately making disciples in those communities. In order to champion this effort, City Uprising provides training for both the Urban Church Plant and the Sending Church.
Training for the Urban Church Plant can include:
- Developing a mission strategy for the Church Plant or propel an existing one
- Organizing an authentic mission experience
- Building leadership, teams, and resources to plan and execute the Church Planter's vision for the four-day City Uprising event.
- Equipping the Church Plant to teach the body how to live on display in their daily lives.
Training for the Sending Church will include:
- Mobilizing volunteers to represent the Urban Church Plant as urban ambassadors of the Good News.
- Teaching how to provide sustaining support to the Urban Church Plant.
- Preparing volunteers for the activities they will be performing during the City Uprising event.

Teaching and Worship
City Uprising believes worship is expressed as daily living, experienced corporately and individually. Each City Uprising mission experience includes Gatherings that enable volunteers and people in the community to come together and focus on the intended vision, provide encouragement, and connect with God together.
City Uprising staff supports and coaches the Church Plant when planning and developing the Gatherings, including speakers, teaching topics, and music.

Restoring Community
As the Urban Church Plant leader gauges the most immediate needs of the local community, City Uprising staff works with the leadership to plan and organize projects and develop local partnering relationships for the purpose of ongoing community restoration.

Creating Outreach Opportunities
City Uprising assists the Urban Church Plant in developing outreach activities that promote authentic relationships and interactions with people in the City. City Uprising helps to identify outreach activities that would be most effective in the Urban Church Plant's community and that would launch conversation with local people, offering opportunities to hear their stories.
